FLK Dew Point Calculator
Check the conditions before applying FLK waterproofing to TRIOTHERM+ door upstands.
You can use a local weather app for an initial estimate of air temperature and relative humidity. For more reliable results, measure the conditions directly at the installation site.
Surface temperatures of both the TRIOTHERM+ upstand and the adjacent building substrate are best checked using an infrared or suitable contact thermometer.
If conditions are uncertain or the surface temperature is too close to the calculated dew point, postpone application until both surfaces are at least 3°C above the dew point. Ensure that the substrates are free from surface moisture and condensation.
Important: Both surfaces must be at least 3°C above the calculated dew point. Surface temperatures cannot be reliably determined from weather-app readings alone. Infrared thermometers may give inaccurate readings on shiny or reflective surfaces.
The dew point check does not replace the manufacturer's application requirements. Substrates must also be suitable, properly prepared and free from surface moisture and condensation. Measure the coldest relevant surface areas.
This calculator is provided for general guidance only. Results are estimates based on the values entered and do not confirm that conditions are suitable for FLK application. Always check actual site conditions and follow the latest manufacturer’s technical instructions, including all substrate and processing requirements. The installer is responsible for assessing conditions before application.
